ACTIVITY SUGGESTION
Before giving this worksheet to your students, teach the rules for quoted speech. Model the exercise and have your learners compare their answers before collecting and marking their papers. Consider using version 1 of this activity (with completed speech bubbles) - or version 2 (with blank speech bubbles that your learners must fill in with their own ideas). Or, perhaps, use a combination of version 1 and version 2 picture cards! Extend this activity by having your learners write a short story using at least three or four examples of quoted speech. (Add more time as needed.) |
